Challenge

Anthropods is the inspiration of CEO, Rik Currie, an Entrepreneur and Chartered Industrial Designer who made his name designing double decker trains for the Dutch Railways.

Anthropods Blériot range of off-ground pods address the needs for luxury glamping, camping and additional hotel space, with fully fitted, and specified interiors, all encapsulated in a stylish, modern package. In addition, the Blériot Tilly range of pods provide a utility space suitable for offices, commercial and retail applications. Anthropods also supply the ‘Glamtainer’ for customers requiring a larger floorplan, high-luxury hotel pod.

While Anthropods brings a fresh new innovation to glamping experience, Taplanes is taking up the glamping accommodation bathroom design & leakproof solution. The bathroom design is bespoke to be able to fit in each individual Anthropods and the circular design while ensuring the longevity and leak-proof solution no matter the glamping site location.

Given the constraint of the physical usage environment, the ease of cleaning and mould resistant/bacteria growth is also a key consideration for achieving Anthropods luxurious glamping promise. 

Scope

To date Taplanes has provided 15 bespoke, leak-free bathroom pods that are being enjoyed in various Anthropods sustainable accommodation sites. All Taplanes pods are made from polypropylene and was designed in a way which can contain all the moisture within the pods for easy extraction to keep the compact accommodation dry. 

As Taplanes Pods are very light weight (125kg) which serves the Anthropods promise of the glamping pods being transportable to another site if needed.

Taplanes 25-years leak-proof promise assures both Anthropods and the end users’ total peace of mind that their accommodations will not be damaged by bathroom water-leakage. 

While Anthropods sustainable accommodation solution comes in different shapes and sizes, Taplanes bathroom pods come sectional so that they can be easily manoeuvred in tight spaces and can easily assembled within 20mins. 

Result

This collaboration between two companies is paramount in making sure that customers of Anthropods are satisfied not only with their sustainable accommodation but also with the sustainable bespoke designed leak-free bathroom solution that is inside. 

By having Taplanes products within the pods it contributes to Anthropods & Co vision of creating luxury, modern and stylish hotel alternatives by collaborating with Rik in designing and understanding his project further. Our products being simply stylish, complements the surrounding of the internal surroundings of the building.
